Centre for ADHD & Autism Support provide support and understanding in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Personal experience of staff, along with empathy and understanding allows our clients to feel a sense of belonging when they access the centre. We provide a comprehensive service that acknowledges that clients need support pre and post diagnosis. We believe in prevention rather than crisis management and our holistic approach encompasses the whole family.
Ignite Trust’s purpose is to work with at risk and vulnerable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through positive activities such as dance, after school clubs and specialist activities for particular groups (such as young parents) that lead to lasting change.
Kids Can Achieve supports and provides services for children and young people with special needs and their carers and families. Our young people have a range of emotional, social, behavioural and learning difficulties including Autism, and ADHD.
Mind in Harrow is affiliated to National Mind, the leading mental health charity. Here in Harrow we support people who experience emotional distress through providing the highest quality services,campaigning to improve services, education to challenge stigma, and ensuring the views of those with mental health difficulties are heard and acted upon by decision makers.
The WISH Centre (WISH) is a charity supporting young people into recovery from self harm, violence, abuse and neglect. We do this through providing a safe and confidential place with problem focused counselling at our Centre and in schools; text and online support; self harm peer support programmes; advice and help for keeping safe; campaigning and innovative & creative workshops for teenagers, and much more. WISH is run by psychotherapists and young people in recovery from self harm who are ex-service users. Every year 90% young people coming to WISH stop self harming and improve their emotional well being and personal safety.
We also provide expert knowledge to professionals, parents and young people through our Parents’ Helpline, online resources, training and development, outreach work and publications.
This is a statutory body which is independently chaired and consists of senior representatives of all the principal agencies and organisations working together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in Harrow.
Its objectives are to:
